Them’s Fightin’ Words

You know Winter is just ‘round the corner when people start getting SAD.
I know I’m not really one to talk, but for real.. people are being crazy mercurial as of late. I’ve made some note, via the Internet, of how much I hate what the Internet has done to one-on-one and social-group communication. Before the internets, and your own space, and books with faces, there seemed to be far less drama. You had to be reading someones diary, or be involved in an at least somewhat meaningful argument to get upset and feel betrayed. Now, more often than not I get the impression that a lot of people feel like everyone else is out to “get” them.
Let me reassure people; 95% of the time when I say anything on the Internet it is completely innocent, and void of any subtext. And when I do indulge in that 5%, I feel as though I do my best to be pretty damn obvious about it. I know that I definitely have some “cowboying-up” to do, but I feel that a lot of people I know need to do the same but they don’t want to admit it.
On a positive note, I’m currently on a 5 day weekend which will be followed by a shortened 3 day work week.
I’m starting to fee like I should own a blu-ray player of some sort. Being able to watch movies like Face Off and Beetlejuice in the very highest of definitions sounds super awesome. Maybe a PS3? I guess I’d like to play Little Big Planet and maybe some Ridge Racer 7, but that’s about it. A less expensive stand-alone player means more money for movies. I should probably buy an HD television before I worry about anything else. Are there any PC based blu-ray players that support BD-Live?
